Around town: Phoebus fancy turns into book

If there is but one "must-have" book on our community, it likely would be Phoebus: A Pictorial History.

Compiled and written by the late Luther T. Jackson, the book contains over 150 old and new photographs of businesses, people and scenes of Phoebus.

Not surprisingly, the book came out because, as Mr. Jackson told a reporter for The Times-Herald in August 1976, a collection "got out of hand."  Read more »
